I first heard about Full Circle Magazine, the unofficial Ubuntu magazine, through a Digg.com posting. As soon as I read the article, I thought “This thing’s going to get popular fast and I want to be a part of it”. So I emailed Ronnie Tucker (the editor-in-chief) and asked him if he needed any columnists. He admitted that, yes, they were looking for columnists. I immediately offered my services, and was assigned to the Top5 column. Every month, I write a column on 5 obscure apps on any one category (one month it was widgets, another it was blogging tools). I also write an occaisonal article and usually do volunteer proof-reading.
